City HallCity Hall (
The building, which is in the centre of town is the local Renaissance town hall. The large building with three gables were built during the 16th century. According to recent findings was the author of rebuilding Vlach Gryson Albrecht, author of the Renaissance town hall in Plzen. Rear parts have been significantly modified and extended in the 19th century. This period was also the reconstruction and sgraffito facades designed by prof. V. Schwerdtner. Last and costly restoration of the Town Hall was in the years 1990 - 1997 in August of this year, the building was officially opened and returned to its original use - the town administration.
Jewish GateJewish Gate (
It is a simple arched gate of bricks from the 18th century, built on the site of the original narrow passage in the city walls, the plain arch, semicircular, wihtnout profile and spans the aisle without leading inner walls of the city walls next to a Jewish house (Judenhaus) and makes space Kostelní Square. Side house, now a sundial, sometimes called the "House of the Sun" was the only place where Jews were allowed to live in the Middle Ages.
Hussite bastionHussite bastion (
If you turn to the center of the silver immediately after the bridge over the river Mze, you will see the bastion over the gas station right by the road. Town Stribro was fortified inner walls around the perimeter of the old town. The new town had its own walls. In fortifications of the old town was not any gate. I could not find something about original fortifications of the town was setting about 17 bastions, of which only one left standing. This is today's so-called Hussite bastion, which was originally converted to a dwelling house and today there is quite a nice restaurant. Most often, this bastion mentioned in connection with the year 1427, when the city was occupied by the Hussites.
Mining skanzenMining skanzen (
A mining museum with an outdoor exhibition of mining equipment in silver was opened in 2005. We can find mining equipment, mining trucks, drilling hammers, different types of shackles, hydraulic and mechanical tipper, mining various types of loaders, drilling systems and many other exhibits functional complements mine locomotive. You will also find a replica of the mine tunnel. The museum is also the entry of the Royal mineshaft Prokop and it is open for visitors to a length of 500 meters.
Town museumTown museum (
City Museum in Stribro is located in the building of the monastery of Friars Minor. Upstairs are the museum's exhibition, the most interesting is the exhibition of the history of mining in the Stribro exposure mineralogy and archeology. Another exhibition is devoted Stribro sharpshooters, science, ethnography and art. On the ground floor of the monastery is open to the cloister, which serves as an exhibition hall of the museum. There are two uncovered Gothic portals and other Gothic architectural elements. Near the cloister is the newly opened torso church of Mary Magdalene.
Dean Church of All SaintsDean Church of All Saints (
In the overall view of the city is significantly influenced by the dean church tower. The original shrine disappeared in late Gothic reconstruction of the 1565th of this building now remains tower west facade and part of the presbytery. Other parts of large buildings date from the years 1754 - 1757 when the building was rebuilt in Baroque style. The last major renovation of the church was started around 1990 and mainly concerned the towers, facades and roofs. The decorative painting of the church worked E. Dollhopf 1766 (presbytery) and FJ Lux 1760 (paintings in the dome of the presbytery and three naves). The main altar was drafted in 1762 carver I. Platzer from Stribro and fitted Dollhopfov image.
